Let's start with a little quiz, what are the differences between typhoons, cyclones, and hurricanes?   The Answer:   No difference; the name change indicates where they are from.  Hurricanes are tropical storms forming over the North Atlantic and Northeast Pacific.  Cyclones are formed over the South Pacific and the Indian Ocean.  Typhoons are formed over the Northwest Pacific Ocean. 1 .
