Forget the Rabbit

"Just do what must be done. This may not be happiness, but it is greatness."George Bernard Shaw

It has been 3 years already, and I have left my writing.  Where was I? What wonderful and exciting thing did I do?  What happened?

Going on life like millions of others, I want to make a living, raise my children, help my husband, and pay my bills. I look back, and all I see is nothing? Running after the rabbit.

Then I look up, and 3 years have gone by...

I would love to say that I have been involved with some great causes, wrote my biography, took on ceramic, and am having my own shows... but no... nothing that grand.
I have been helping my daughter, who suffers from severe anxiety and compulsive disorder. Working 12 to 15 hours a day trying to compensate for the income my husband lost, like many others.
Caring for my mother-in-law, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

So no, I did not create anything, write the next great novel or win anything... like the millions of us, I have with my family survived.  I say endure because I forgot to live...

I know you will understand and forgive me for my long absence.

2012 Mayan Calendar 'Doomsday' Date Might Be Wrong

This article should get some of us more rational regarding the big hype about 2012, Planet X, and Doomsday... being reasonable is the hardest thing to do when overcome with extreme feelings of fear, despair, or even rapture. So open your mind to the idea that it could all be a spook, and we will all laugh about it on December 22, 2012. Otherwise, would you want to be the one to clean up the mess that Doomsday will leave behind? Would you want to survive Doomsday? Leave your comment: The Mayans Never Predicted the Doomsday Before continuing, it's worth emphasizing that this mesoamerican calendar (used by several cultures -- including the Maya -- in Central and South America before European colonization) does not predict an apocalypse. It never did, despite what the movie "2012" told us . The Mayan civilization existed from 250-900 A.D. in the current geographical location of southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador,  and some of Honduras. Archaeologists...

Memorial Day; Honor those who died to protect our way of live.

“In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, and the mindless in those who have never achieved his title. Do not forget that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind, and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The desired world can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours.” Ayn Ran As a reminder, Memorial Day evolved from Decoration Day, started in 1868 as a day to decorate the graves of those who died in America's Civil War. Love hurt three times. Once when you are cut. Once when you marry.  Once when you give birth African Proverb. "Desert Flower"  Below is an eyewitness account of what is done to all Somali girls because men still refuse marriage with an uninfibulated , or " open ," bride.
